Your best bet would be to go to a fabric store and get a pattern that best matches what you want. Fabric stores have pattern books to help you pick the pattern you want. The outside packaging of the pattern will tell you how many yards of fabric you’ll need, as well as any extras (like buttons, zippers, elastic, etc.) The patterns will have instructions with pictures to guide you.

This is what Michael originally said about writing the song.

“Billie Jean is kind of anonymous. It represents a lot of girls. They used to call them groupies in the ’60s.” He added, “They would hang around backstage doors, and any band that would come to town they would have a relationship with, and I think I wrote this out of experience with my brothers when I was little. There were a lot of Billie Jeans out there. Every girl claimed that their son was related to one of my brothers.”

It was only later stated to be about a stalker in a biography of his life and Michael made those stories up himself because he thought it was funny.
